Mac-Windows
Hello everyone, I am new here.  When I was about four I discovered Lemmings and loved it since.  Unfortunatly times changed and my family got rid of the old macs and got PC's.  I just found my old lemmings floppies for the mac and I am wondering if there is anyway to make them work on windows.

Sorry, but the only way you'll get Mac floppies to work in Windows is via emulation, and I'm not a Mac guy, so I don't know anything about that.  However, there are alternatives, including, but not limited to, getting the DOS version (available at the site in my sig.)

It's worse than that.  Basically, PC floppy drives simply cannot read Mac floppies, because Mac floppies use this variable speed encoding method, which the PC floppy hardware simply cannot deal with (to spin the disc at a non-uniform rate).

So you will not be able to use your Mac floppies unless you buy a Mac floppy drive, and there might be PC drivers that can handle such a floppy drive, but I don't know much about that myself.

Fortunately, I believe if you search the internet you will be able to download Mac Lemmings, dispensing with the need for floppies.  The download will typically be in binhex format (a Mac standard), so if you have a Mac emulator, you might be able to get it installed and running on your PC.

I'm pretty sure whatever is doing this isn't a person.  Regardless, I'm gonna delete the posts in the tech help board.

I'm sure it's a person pretending to be something. It's posting things in almost nearly every topic.
