I have passed all levels in the Windows version.

As for the eleven levels that aren't in the Windows version... I beat them in the DOS version! ^_^

I also beat all the levels that are unique to the Sega Master System version(the only ones that are hard are Menace, and the repeat version of Sega Four, which strangely, is still called Sega Four, just like the first version).

I passed all level in DOS Lemmings ans Oh No! More Lemmings. I have not played the Megadrive version... Although Fall and no life took me a lot less time to figure out than it took Conway... [Although, it STILL took about 4 or 5 days. I mean, that level is VERY cleverly degisned. If you want to play it, there are remakes on Gareth's LemEdit packs, or my "Insane Steve's World!" level set.]

Re: Have you passed all levels?
I have passed all the levels at one time or another, afaik. Some (like Triple Trouble and Save Me) I am almost never able to complete, and it is truly a cause for celebration when I do.
Others (like Rendezvous at the Mountain) I've not had much of a chance to try properly, and have completed on the mac version. On the playstation version I got this far and then couldn't pass it for some reason.
At least one level on ONML has a bug in the mac version whereby a wall that's apparently flat and climbable on the DOS version is bumpy and unclimbable. I did eventually get past it, though, when I used builders instead, but this was very difficult to pull off.
Also in ONML I had problems with Havoc 4, where I was having great difficulty timing the mining to the left, at least certainly on the playstation (I did eventually get it, but I have no idea how). On the mac it was easier because you can hold alt to not select the active basher.

Re: Have you passed all levels?
To be sure that I completed all of the levels, I decided to restart playing Lemmings under Dosbox. In 3 days, I'm already in the Mayhem difficulty.

For Oh no more Lemmings, that's another thing: Is someone can send me his executable file of Oh no more Lemmings? Because mine, when I try to enter the game under Dosbox, it shows to "Insert the disk in the drive" and the game crash.

I did managed to beat both games in the Windows version. It's definitely not as hard as in the DOS version thanks to the instant replay and the "skill assignment in a certain direction" feature, but I guess it's still good anyway. :)

Even Cascade and Tightrope City?

Wow... I know they're not non-100%able, but I have been unable to pull off the 100% Cascade solution, and I haven't even been able to find the 100% Tightrope City solution.

Oh and, the list of 20 levels that you can't 100%... at least one is wrong. "Compression Method 1" can be 100%ed through a glitch. And if I remember correctly, I've 100%ed From The Boundary Line before, though it might have been on the Sega version only(where one builder will clear the final bit, and the level has Release Rate 50).

Re: Have you passed all levels?
I got 100% on Tightrope City and Cascade, but they were both very difficult.  In Tightrope City, I placed two blockers (One directly under the entrance) to hold off the crowd for about 20 seconds, then I released them with diggers and bashers.  In Cascade, I used a digger on the stairs and I built a bridge on the left side to keep the crowd safe while a scout built a bridge for everyone to land on.  Both of them require perfect or nearly perfect timing.

I just found the 100% solution to Compression Method 1 earlier this year.

I have the PC-DOS version of Lemmings, so I don't think the 100% solution for From the Boundary Line works.  My best score in that level is 70/80 (87%).

EDIT:  I recently tweaked with my solution to From the Boundary Line, and managed to save 73/80 (91%).

Of course I did not mean the beginning, I see the platforms as well! (remember I did ALL levels but this one).
I meant the stair lemming has to build almost at the end of the level, after bashing & building throught the columns. He will hit the ceiling before the stair touches the wall.

When he turns, turn him back with another bridge and build a step at a time until you reach the wall. Make each bridge as close to the end of the last one as possible so you don't run out of builders.

Re: Have you passed all levels?
I actually thought that all Mayhem levels between 24-30 except 29 were far too easy.

"Have a Nice Day!" was EXACTLY the same as the solution I first found of Tricky 13. Just a Minute (Part 2) is simple timing. Mind the Step is simply keeping your attention focused. Rendezvous at the Mountain and All or Nothing... well... those don't need explanation.

Levels that posed problems for me as a child:

Taxing 3: The time limit, or so I thought at the time, was absurdly tight. I can do it now with a reasonable success rate now.

Taxing 11: It's all a matter of not clicking on 7 right-facing lemmings in a row. Ugh.

Taxing 13: Ugh. Just, ugh.

Mayhem 5: I hate this level. As a child, I didn't think to make several blocker collection areas, but I was never able to get the lemmings to build the right way going up.

Mayhem 9: I was a wasteful player at that age. 12 builders kept me stuck on this one for almost as long as Taxing 13.

Mayhem 20: Probably the best "puzzle" level in Lemmings, this one took me forever to figure out.

Mayhem 29: Erm, it's Mayhem 29. What more do I need to say?

22. A Beast Of A Level (Go For It)

15. What An AWESOME Level (What An Awesome Level. Same name, different level)
21. Feel The Heat (Sega Four)
30. We All Fall Down (Sega Five)

Mayhem:
9. Curse Of The Pharaohs (Sega One. Harder version)
12. The Far Side (Sega Two. Harder version)
13. The Great Lemming Caper (Sega Three. Harder version, also the terrain is modified from the Tricky version of this level)
17. Stepping Stones (Stepping Stones. Same name, different level. Harder version of Tricky 12)
18. And Then There Were Four (Sega Four. Harder version)
21. With A Twist Of Lemming Please (With A Twist Of Lemming Please. Same name, different level. Identical to PC Taxing 21)
22. A Beast II Of A Level (Nearly There)
29. Save Me (Sega Five. Harder version)

Re: Have you passed all levels?
Conway might have meant the Sega Megadrive version; I know "Lemming's Ark" is a level for that version.

Well, there were lots of levels that had me stuck for a while when I first played them, but then, I was very young........

Tricky 14 (Menacing): just could not abide the music -- or for that matter the sound of it with music off!

Tricky 25 (Cascade): I was VERY squeamish. Watching seventy lemmings turning into mush was not my idea of fun.

Taxing 6 (Compression Method One): hell, I'll never forget how happy I was when I suddenly realised how to do it.

Taxing 11 (The ascending pillar scenario): what I found hardest here was just trapping them in the first place, given the very limited space; I'd used miners before on levels like Taxing 3 but it never occurred to me to use diggers. I think I did it in the end by some sort of mixed mining and digging.

Mayhem 2 (The Boiler Room): because it uses a unique trick and until I got it it looked impossible

Mayhem 14 (Pea Soup): because I was on a black and white machine at the time, and the "peas" don't show

Mayhem 21 (With a twist of lemming please): shamefully, the one level I never solved; I had to get my friend Joe to show me the solution. I don't really know why I found this one such a problem.

Mayhem 26 (The Steel Mines of Kessel): because this one is hundreds of times harder on the Mac version, harder than any other level on either game. Took me ten years, after which I found the remaining levels really easy.

Well, about Mind the Step... you REALLY need to keep your attention VERY focused.

Mayhem 20: I agree, this is a great level. You need intuition, otherwise...

Mayhem 29: honestly, it's a very hard level, but one "sees" quickly the only way to beat it. The hard part is to put the basic idea in practice, expecially considering the 2 blockers / builders needed at the end.
I played it recently and passed after some attempt.

I think the hardest levels are those where one doesn't imagine how to do. There are some levels in Havoc I still have to figure out the way (havoc 4 and 19).

Re: Have you passed all levels?
Havoc 4 is painfully difficult. I was stuck on that one for ages.

I back-routed Havoc 19 at least two ways before seeing the right answer. My very first solution as a child involves building into the cliff twice, making a wall to turn the lemmings while still on top of the structure.

A level I had a hard time with in ONML is Havoc 14. I'm really bad with coordinating things.

Re: Have you passed all levels?
I was only about 8 years old when my dad and I first started playing Lemmings, so, needless to say, he beat most of the levels before I did.  Here are some of the levels that gave us problems (Please note that this is the PC version of the game):

Tricky 19:  I remember my Dad taking a long time trying to figure this one out because we didn't know the trick of sending a climber to the top and mining down.

Taxing 4:  My dad kept getting zapped by the traps, and he often lost too many lemmings before he could do something about it.  I simplified the solution several years later by taking an outside route.

Taxing 6:  We didn't know that the traps only zap one lemming at a time, but my dad eventually beat the level when he learned that he can bash through the top few pixels of steel.

Taxing 7:  I kept running out of time!  Now, I still usually beat it with less than 15 seconds to spare.

Taxing 11:  My dad never did figure this one out -- he was stumped for three weeks!  I finally beat it for him.

Taxing 13:  My dad kept running out of skills here.  I didn't see him play it much, so I don't remember any more details.

Taxing 15:  My dad kept trying to bomb his way through the spikes to get up to the exit.  I quickly discovered how easy it is to simply build over the hard parts.

Taxing 23:  My dad kept running out of builders on this level.  Now I can save 100% with several builders to spare!

Taxing 29:  When I got to this level, I still didn't know the Climber-Miner trick, so I kept running out of bridges.  My dad finally showed me the solution.

Mayhem 11:  My dad didn't even attempt this level!  He said that I had to do it because my reflexes are better!  I beat it with no trouble at all.

Mayhem 28:  It took my dad three weeks to beat this level!  He kept running out of builders.  Now that I am efficient with builders, I can beat this one easily.

Mayhem 29:  My dad beat this in one evening, but it always took me several tries to get it right (my builder would keep turning around before I got a chance to bash through the pillar near the middle part of the level).

Now, I can easily beat every level, so I try for 100% solutions.

YES!!!!!! Just beat Havoc 20 at last this morning -- so that's every level of both games!

Now I've just got to beat "Final impediment" and I've beaten all the Genesis levels..... then I guess it's the SMS ones next...... and I suppose if I really want to do the thing properly I have to beat "All the 6s" and "Ohayo Lemming san" if I can somehow find a version with them........ it never ends, does it?  :P

EDIT: Now that I've looked at "The Lemmings Solution" and GameFAQs for that level, it seems my solution was rather different.... and quite a bit easier. I ignored the right lemmings totally, used bombers rather than my second miner to get through the wall before the long ascent, and mined with the left lemmings under the right trapdoor to bring the two sets of lemmings together. If I could be bothered to keep trying I could have saved one more than the requirement this way.

I passed the original lemmings in 2001 on the Amiga. It wasn't a certain level that I was stuck on, it's just that I actually never bothered to complete it before. I think It was "No added colours or lemmings" that I gave up on first. It's the only original level I needed to consult a walkthrough for, then it was "Save me", which can be just damn fustrating at times.
I passed Oh No! on the Playstation later that year, with great help from a walkthrough (that I needed from the middle of Crazy onwards ;)). So now , thats both versions. I always prefered the original lemmings to Oh No!, and I always will.

As for the Sega Megadrive, I have the last levels of the last three settings to complete.

It actually isn't that difficult - I found the last two Sunsoft levels and "Private Room Available" to be more difficult to complete.

Re: Have you passed all levels?
I never had that many problems with "Where Lemmings Dare" -- in fact, I think I've passed it with one more lemming than is required (Which, I think, is 97% required, so 98% saved). The hardest part (to me) is the first part, building at the right time so the lemmings aren't eaten.

"Look Before You Leap" took me several attempts because I am not good with bomb timing.
